Game Input MultipleXer

Found this site a few days ago and is something I've been searching for!

So I ordered a Teensy 2++ and CP2104 from hobbytronics.co.uk and wired up as per DIY dummies guide. (GND > GND, D2 > TX, D3 > RX)

Downloaded GIMX 5.2, firmwares and Teensy loader. Installed GIMX + USB driver and flashed firmwares/EMUG29PS4/atmega32u4.hex onto Teensy.

Connected CP2104 via USB to PC and checked COM port. Connected PS4 controller with USB cable and G27 USB cable to PC. All show in device manager with no errors.

To clarify, I have it connected as:

PS4 > Teensy - CP2104 > PC USB
DS4 > PC USB
G27 > PC USB

Opened gimx-launcher and downloaded config for Dualshock4 and LogitechG27_G29. Chose DIY USB in Output, correct COM port, Physical Devices in Input, Config LogitechG27_G29.xml and click Check. ** Complains ** Logitech G27 joystick not found. (even though a device with 0x046d as USB vendor id exists). Disconnect DS4 and check reports no DS4 controller connected - correct. Change to Dualshock4.xml config, check works.

But in both config choices, Click start and command window flashes up and quits, too quickly to see what is happening.

1) Could the window not quit so I can capture the error?
2) Is the CP2104 supported? I got this as was only one on site I ordered the Teensy from.
3) Why is GIMX not finding my connected G27?

I have tried the D2/D3 > RX/TX the other way round, no difference.

1) Select Messages>Log file and click on start. The log file will automatically be opened.
2) The CP2104 should work.
3) Did you install the Logitech Gaming Software?

1) enabled logging (doh) and now can see:

3) yes have installed the Logitech software but G27 still shows as a Human Interface Devices, HID-compliant game controller.
DS4: HID\VID_054C&PID_05C4&REV_0100
G27: HID\VID_046D&PID_C294&REV_1238

It seems there is a problem with USBDK.
Did you install GIMX i686 on a 64 bit Windows? If yes, try the x86_64 version instead.

Didn't realise I was running Windows 10 x64. Uninstalled GIMX and reinstalled 64bit version. Manually installed USBDK from tools directory.

Removed all HID devices from device manager, including hidden, and removed CP2104 COM port. Reconnected and allowed to re-install drivers.

Run gimx-launcher, check still fails to detect the G27. Slick start, and command window stays open until shift+esc. Resulting log file is now:

gimx-launcher opened "Run as Administrator" too. Think the left and right logged are from the DS4.

Realised there is a x64 Logitech Gaming software. Installed this and now have a Logitech Driving Force USB & Logitech Driving Force USB (HID) in device manager instead.

gimx-launcher still can't detect the G27 though.

p.s created the macros folder and that error has gone away

It looks like your wheel is working in compatibility mode.
Were did you download the Logitech gaming software?

Logitech software downloaded from http://support.logitech.com/product/g27-racing-wheel

How do I change it? What mode should it be?

The G27 should show up as a "Logitech G27 Racing Wheel USB" controller in the "Devices and Printers" panel.
Try to uninstall all installed LGS softwares (32bit and 64bit), reboot your computer, and install lgs510_x64.

Seems USB3 ports confuse the G27 and gets recognised wrongly as a Driving Force instead - hence me sometimes seeing DF and sometimes G27 in Device Manager.

Had already uninstalled / reinstalled everything but did again, no joy.

Switched to another PC, Windows 7 32bit, installed GIMX 5.2 (x32), Logitech Software (x32), etc. etc.

Still can't find the G27 in GIMX.
