G27 disconnecting from PS4 after a short while

Hi. Hope you can help. Everything was working fine with my Logitech G27 for a couple of weeks with Drive Club, I also have WRC 5 but it didn't like it, option or start button didn't work in that to start the game after the initial screens, but the option button still worked the PS4. Then I got the latest update for WRC 5 and it started working, I finished 1 stage and then it froze at the end and I had to connect another controller to get the PS4 swtiched off.
Now it freezes very quickly after starting, may only last for 20 seconds or maybe a couple of minutes. Nothing changes in the window that pops up after hitting the start button on the Gimx, it still looks connected, after I close that window PS4 says "controller disconnected", so it sounds like, although it's not working, the PS4 still thinks it's connected till I close the window, then hit the start button again on Gimx the G27 will start working again for another short while.
I have a Teensy++2, I originally flashed the wrong firmware but then the right one, from the correct folder, AT90USB1286 and as I say it worked OK for a couple of weeks. I'm still waiting for a Teensy 2.0 to arrive from China that I ordered before Christmas, and could swap that after it arrives if you think the ++2 could be faulty.
I should say that if you leave it when it has stopped working it does start again all be itself after a period of time, but only for a short unpredictable time.
