GIMX 5.6
Windows 8.1 64bit
DIY USB
Xbox one (Dashboard)
(Any)

Log:

Code: Select all

option -l with value `log.txt'
option -c with value `XOnePadUsbXinput.xml'
option -p with value `COM5'
status flag is set
subpos flag is set
force_updates flag is set
Detected USB adapter: XOnePad.
Reset sent to the adapter.
No controller was found on USB buses.
adapter_detect failed
I have previously used the adapter with xbox 360 successfully, so currently assume the actual DIY adapter is "fine".
I flashed the firmware for the xbox one
I replaced libusb-1.0.dll and installed libusbk as per http://gimx.fr/wiki/index.php?title=Ins ... on#Windows

Xbox one pad shows as "Controller" under libusbk in device manager.

Am i correct in my belief that the message "no controller detected" means gimx is not communicating with the xbox one pad (its not having problems talking to the DIY adapter)

Any suggestions where I may have gone wrong?

Is it a new controller with the 3.5mm jack? It's sadly not supported yet.

Haha yeah that'll be it xD

I had previously seen you tell someone that the audio component wouldn't work due to bandwidth constraints and just assumed that the control would still work on a 3.5mm controller.

Related, now that I don't have the hardware to do it otherwise - do you see yourself working on getting the X360 spoof to work with windows 10 game streaming? e.g.

No. I will likely add support for the new controllers.

Would traffic logs etc. be any use to you in this case?

Regarding current supported devices, is it only official microsoft controllers (non 3.5mm) or do you think other 3rd party ones would also work?

Non 3.5mm microsoft controllers only.
